My first post for 2014 will be expressing gratitude for my husband Greg. In fact, I surmise that 300 out of the 365 posts will be about him. I've recently given him the nomenclature "Mr. Wonderful." He truly is and he deserves to know every time he is summonsed. 

So today "Mr. Wonderful." agreed to help me by deliverying my Avon brochures "all over hell's half acre." 

"Show me where 'hell's half acre' is and I'll go there." He told me. So I sat down and we went through it step by carefully planned step. I piled labeled brochures infront of him while he mapped out his route armed with only a customer address list.

His route involved driving to the top of really steep hills, then far north of home way up through woods and winding roads, then back down and across to the opposite end of our city and circling back to our neighbouring neighbourhood. The whole bloody mess took him two hours. Yes, two freaking hours. Not because he is slow or inificient, (he's Mr. Wonderful, remember?) but because that is how far apart my customers are spread. Now normally it never happens where I have to deliver books to all my customers in the same day. A lot of these people pick up from me, (there will be a future gratitude post about my amazing Avon customers too, I'm sure) but with Christmas and people coming and going, and a new year starting, I'm having to kind of start all over in the stream of things. I'm hoping this won't be a regular thing and my system will snap back into place, but until then... 

Let's celebrate Mr. Wonderful!! Also known, on days like these, as "The Avon Man." 

Now don't think that his efforts go unrewarded. My customers are very appreciative also. One older lady called me up after Mr. W. had delivered her order to rave and gush about the HANDSOME man that had brought her her order. Yes, he has his own little fan club amoung my customers as well. 

But no one is as appreciative as I am. Without his help, I'm afraid I'd be an abismal failure in life. Well ok, maybe not, BUT, it would be extremely difficult to do all I do without his myriad favors. 

How many times does he hear those words that make him sigh and brace himself, "Honey, can you do me a favor?" How many times has he said "No." Uhhh let me think.... like NEVER!! 

So Mr. Wonderful... this top of the year post is for you.
